Frequently Asked Questions about DTF Film Hot Peel

Hot peel allows you to remove the film instantly after pressing, while cold peel requires you to wait for it to cool. If speed matters, go hot.

DTF (Direct to Film) Hot Peel Film is a type of DTF transfer film that allows for immediate peeling of the transfer from the fabric while still warm after the heat press application, saving time and increasing efficiency.

The primary difference lies in the peeling process:

- Hot Peel: The transfer film can be removed immediately after pressing while still hot, speeding up the production process.

- Cold Peel: Requires the transfer to cool completely before peeling, which can take approximately 60 seconds or until the temperature drops below 25°C. Peeling too early may damage the design.

DTF Hot Peel Film is versatile and can be used on a wide range of fabrics, including:

  • Cotton

  • Polyester

  • Cotton-poly blends

  • Nylon

  • Canvas

  • Denim

DTF Hot Peel Film offers several advantages:

  • Efficiency: Immediate peeling after pressing accelerates production.

  • Versatility: Compatible with various fabrics without the need for pretreatment.

  • Quality: Produces vibrant, durable, and stretch-resistant prints

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

  • Keep the film in its original packaging until use to protect it from dust and moisture.

Proper storage ensures consistent performance and longevity of the film.

  • Temp: 300°F (150°C)

  • Time: 10 seconds

  • Pressure: Medium to high (around 60 psi)

  • Peel hot—just seconds after pressing, lift the film while it’s still warm. Done!
  • After peeling, apply a second press for 8–10 seconds with parchment or a finishing sheet. This improves durability, wash resistance, and gives the transfer a smoother feel.

Keep your DTF film in a cool, dry place away from heat and humidity. Store it in its original packaging to avoid dust, moisture, and curling.
