UV DTF sheets are an essential tool for printing multiple designs in a single batch, perfect for products like glass cups, tumblers, keychains, and product labels. Make the most of every inch with smart planning!

Ideal Sizes for Your Products

  • 16 oz Glasses & Cups: For 16 oz glass cans or similar cups, a recommended size is around 3.8 inches wide by 3.5 inches high. On a 12-inch wide sheet, you can fit approximately three to four designs per row, depending on your spacing.
  • Standard Mugs & Tumblers: For larger mugs and tumblers, with slightly wider designs (about 4 inches), you'll fit two to three per row.
  • Small Items (Keychains, Accessories, Labels): If your designs are for small objects like keychains, tech accessories, or small packaging labels, sizes between 1 and 2 inches are ideal. In this case, you can fit around 10 to 15 items per 12-inch width. Consider grouping these in blocks of three to four rows on a 24-inch or longer gang sheet to simplify cutting and organization.

For branding elements like logos, tags, or stickers used for packaging or labeling, we recommend sizes ranging from 2 to 3.5 inches wide. To optimize sheet space and reduce wasted vinyl, consider alternating square, round, and rectangular shapes.

What Does UV DTF Mean?

UV DTF (Direct to Film), sometimes referred to as UV DTF decals or UV DTF sticker sheets, is a special type of transfer similar to standard DTF—but with a key difference in how it’s applied.

Unlike standard DTF transfers, which require heat to activate the adhesive, UV DTF transfers do not require an iron or heat press. Instead, they use UV-curable inks and a pressure-sensitive adhesive, making them ready to apply directly to the surface.

You can't use a normal office printer for UV DTF. You either need a UV DTF printer or a UV printer that has been specifically engineered or professionally converted for UV inks and films.

UV DTF is a fantastic option for glass, metal, wood, acrylic, plastics, coated tumblers, phone cases, and many other hard, non‑porous surfaces. Like traditional DTF printing, UV DTF is great when you need to print on dark colors.
