When you send your gang sheet to print, a DTF printer prints it on transparent, special DTF film. Next, we apply an adhesive powder to the back of the print to ensure its transferability to the desired garment. Finally, we cure the powder to establish a bond between the film and ink. At this point, it is ready for pressing.

DTF Transfers can withstand multiple washes without fading or cracking. However, it is important that during the process of pressing your design into the garment desired you must ensure pressure is at 60 psi. Checking the temperature is crucial as well, ensuring the temperature is correct will create the appropriate bond making your transfer last even more!

• To make your DTF transfers last longer, follow these simple care instructions:
• Wash garments with the transfers inside out in cold water using mild detergents.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals, bleach, or rough washing methods.
• Tumble dry on low heat or air dry to reduce heat exposure.

Following these steps will help keep your DTF transfers looking vibrant and in good condition for a long time.

Our transfers are compatible with most heat presses and will yield satisfactory results. We recommend setting your heat press to 300 degrees Fahrenheit, applying high pressure for 10 seconds, and maintaining a PSI of 60. This combination of time and temperature ensures proper transfer adherence. Alternatively, a Cricut machine can apply the transfers. Note: Pressing your DTF Transfers with anything other than a heat press may yield different results than the heat press and could result in a defective transfer.

To apply your design with DTF transfers, follow these instructions:

• Ensure your garment or surface is clean, dry, and wrinkles or debris-free. Pre-press garments to remove moisture.
• Heat your press to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Press for 10 seconds at high pressure (60 PSI)—pressure is crucial for a successful transfer.
• Allow the garment to cool completely, then carefully peel off the transfer film starting from a corner.
• Repress for another 10 seconds with a Teflon sheet on top for protection.

This second press helps to seal your design permanently

• To apply your UV DTF design, follow these steps:
• Clean the surface to remove any dust or debris.
• Place the UV DTF face down.
• Remove the carrier paper.
• Position the UV DTF on the desired surface.
• Use a squeegee to secure it in place and remove any air bubbles.
• Peel off the adhesive film.

• Prep the Fabric:
• Place the fabric on the heat press and pre-press to remove any wrinkles and moisture.
• Press the First Time:
• Position the DTF transfer on the fabric.
• Press for 10 seconds, using a heat pillow for added pressure.
• Set heat press to 300°F (150°C), set pressure to 60 PSI or on high.
• Peel:
• Cold Peel: Allow the transfer to cool to the touch before peeling.
• Hot Peel: Peel immediately after the first press.
• Press a Second Time:
• Place a guard sheet over the transfer and press for 10 seconds.

DTF Transfers are lightweight, breathable, and have a soft, flexible feel, but achieving this quality requires a second press. If you skip the second press, the design won't properly seal to the fabric, compromising its durability and texture.

There are three key differences between hot and cold peel DTF transfers. Firstly, hot peel transfers can be peeled immediately after pressing, while cold peel transfers require cooling down before peeling. This makes hot peels an excellent option for increasing productivity. However, there are notable differences in the final results: hot peels are less vibrant and slightly more reflective than cold peels. Despite these differences, both types maintain incredible durability and a soft, flexible feel.

DTF Transfers are created by printing designs directly onto DTF film using DTF ink. After printing, the designs are coated with DTF powder and cured in an oven. Once cured, the individual designs can be cut out and pressed onto any fabric.

To maintain the quality of your DTF transfers after pressing, ensure you press a second time to seal the design onto the fabric properly. Turn the garment inside out for washing and avoid harsh chemicals like bleach. Use mild detergent and wash on a gentle cycle with cold water.

For drying, opt for low tumble dry or air dry. This will help keep your design looking great for longer.
