How to press DTF transfers on hats
Hats are small and curved, so a steady setup matters more than on a shirt.
STEP 1Prep & PositionUse a hat press or a curved platen for structured caps. Pre-press the front panel for five seconds, then place the transfer ink-side down and hold it with heat-resistant tape so it doesn't move.
STEP 2PressPress at 300-310°F (149-154°C) for 10 seconds with firm pressure. Over seams, put a heat press pillow under the print area so the pressure stays even. Nylon: 260-275°F (127-135°C), 10-12 seconds, medium-light pressure.
STEP 3Peel & FinishOpen the press, count 2 to 5 seconds and peel. The first time, or with very small details, let it cool completely before peeling. Cover with a Teflon sheet or linen cloth and press a final 10 seconds.

Every sheet is 22 inches wide and you pay by the sheet, not by the design. From 2 feet up the rate is $0.45 per inch. At 6 feet it starts coming down, and on the 25 foot sheet each inch costs $0.3825. Same file, same press, same 24 hour turnaround: the only thing that changes is how much you print at once.
